While we can sometimes take orders up until the day before a hatch, we recommend placing your order as soon as possible to ensure we have availability for the breeds you want on your preferred hatch day. If you are ordering 18-week-old ‘Ready-To-Lay’ pullets available each spring and fall we recommend placing your at least 2 months in advance as these sell out quickly! Once your order has left our hatchery it takes 1-2 days for your local post office to receive it. When your chicks arrive at the post office they will contact you so you can pick them up. When placing your order it’s imperative you enter the best contact phone number so they can reach you in a timely fashion.
We ship them out of either the Madison WI Post Office, Minneapolis MN Post Office, Chicago Il Post Office, or Dubuque IA Post Office.
Yes, we hatch out everything every week. If we have a problem with our hatch, we do have Partner Hatchery’s that help us fill our orders. These partners have the same bloodlines we have.
No, for bio-security reasons, this is not allowed.
For Bio-Security reasons, we only ship our birds.
We strive to time our hatches precisely to make sure we deliver the freshest chicks to you so we only have chicks available on Wednesdays and don’t always have extras available to sell once we’ve fulfilled all of our orders. For this reason, we recommend placing your order in advance to make sure we have what you are looking for!
Any poultry order wish to be cancelled will incur a $20.00 Restocking Fee. The Convenience Fee is not included in the Restocking Fee. No Cancelations will be allowed within 10 days of your Hatch Date.
The packing slip included in your order has all of the necessary information printed in the logos and disclaimers.
If you experience any death loss within 48 hours of receiving your order we will replace the lost chicks at the next available hatch date or provide you with a refund. Please remember, all losses must be reported to us within 48 hours of receiving your order by calling 920-478-2053.
While there is no exact science to perfect this, our sexing is 85% - 90% accurate.
At this time Hawaii is the only state we unable to ship live animals.
